Charitable Giving & Grants
We collaborate with partners around the world to help ensure people have access to the healthcare they need; to make a positive impact in communities where we live and work; and to develop the next generation of innovators who will lead the way in advancing healthcare.
Baxter International Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Baxter International Inc., and focuses its funding across three key areas:
Access to Healthcare
We are committed to increasing access to healthcare in communities where we have a presence through capacity-building grants that align with our mission; and by recognizing and celebrating health systems, providers and public health research that advance clinical practice and expand patient treatment.
Our Communities
Every day, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people who depend on our products, and in the communities where we live and work.
We are focused on supporting community programs that impact the underserved in locations where Baxter has a presence.
Fostering Innovation
We are helping nurture the next generation of scientific innovators, who will lead the way in defining tomorrow’s healthcare technologies. We take a hands-on approach by funding science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education;supporting employees to serve as mentors in communities worldwide; and creating diverse learning opportunities in the sciences.
Baxter International Foundation Grant Process
The Baxter International Foundation helps advance the company’s mission to save and sustain lives. We partner with organizations around the world to increase access to healthcare for the underserved, to develop the next generation of innovators who will lead the way in advancing healthcare and to create a long-lasting impact in Baxter’s communities. We are proud to support initiatives and organizations that make a positive, lasting impact in these critical areas.
Our 2019 grant cycle opens on April 15, and will close on May 31, 2019.
Contributions to U.S. Healthcare Organizations
Baxter’s Contributions Management Program accepts requests for contributions to U.S. Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) that enhance healthcare delivery, increase access to patient care, and foster understanding and education of therapeutic and disease states.
Contributions to HCOs are due the last Tuesday of each month for review the second Tuesday of the following month. We are most interested in supporting community/patient education or wellness programs in locations where we have a presence.
Baxter does not provide support for galas, golf outings or other similar fundraisers.
